Privacy policy

Hello,

You’re at the privacy policy page for Bookey, the app for book swaps.

The owner of this app is Amirhossein Jabarivasal. He is responsible for all privacy and legal concerns.

1. This app collects two types of data. The first is data about the users, this includes their first name, year of birth, phone number and a profile picture. It also collects a latitude/longitude coordinates of the users choice. Note that is not necessarily their home address, just an area where they would like to meet other users. The data is sent by the user and none of it is taken automatically. The user has to input this data for it to be collected. 

1. The data is collected for the following reasons:

• • Phone number – Used as a way to verify users and register. Note, their phone number will never be passed onto any third party and will never be accessible by other users.
• • First name – A name that other users will see if they match
• • Year of birth – used for optional age filtering in case users want to match with people of their own age
• • Profile picture – for other users to see, social reasons.

1. 4. Third parties will not have access to any of the data.

1. 5. The second type of data collected is not related to the users information but the books they upload. This includes the ISBN number of the book, the picture retrieved from the internet, title, a description and other data about the contents of the books.

1. 6. Users can request to see all the data that is specific to them (their profile information and the books they uploaded). They cannot request to see any data about other users.

1. 7. If there are any changes to the privacy policy, users will receive an in-app notification that will force them to view the changes if they want to continue using the app.

1. 8. Users can request to delete all their data from our database by selecting delete account on the Profile page.
